You will hear basic methods like using hashtags, posting consistently, and promoting on other social media, everywhere. But, people rarely think out of the box to attract new followers.
Without any further ado, here are 7 effective and creative ways to grow on Instagram.
1. Maintaining a Theme
Whether you are a brand or individual influencer, you must have a theme. Maintaining a particular aesthetic is very appealing to the audience. That is because it defines a target audience.
For instance, if you are a photographer, there should be a specific theme. That can be your style of photography, like cinematic shots, black & white photos, etc.
Maintaining that throughout your profile will have a significant impact on the audience. Pro-tip: you can also do grid images to make a visually compelling profile.
A well-organized campaign starts with clear goals, a content calendar, and consistent messaging, so learn how to plan your social media campaigns effectively.
2. Appealing Bio
Before reading this part, check what your bio looks like. Does it look interesting and gripping? Then, that’s where the mistake lies.
Bios is a fun feature that allows you to play with it. You can let your creativity out and make it as exciting as you can. Plus, you can also integrate keywords into it. It will help more people reach out to you.
3. A Simple yet Smart Username
Many people think that the username option is very limited. However, it’s not. Just like bio, you can be innovative with the username.
Try to make it more readable so that it will be easier for people to search. You can do that by adding more alphabets and underscores instead of digits.
4. Long and Gripping Captions
The long caption trend has recently taken off. And its current popularity tells us that it is not going down anytime soon. You can benefit from it by writing beautiful lengthy captions. But, do not try to overdo it with every post.
What you can do with all uploads is to write catchy captions. Use more emojis and symbols as they make the reading more fun and better-looking.
5. Hopping On Trends
When there’s a new trend introduced, everyone is going for it. Even the biggest celebrities are jumping on the bandwagon. The main reason behind that is attracting more followers.
People like to see when brands and influencers follow a trend. It makes you look like you are updated with the market. Plus, these trends also help you introduce yourself to a larger audience.
6. The Right Way of Using Hashtags
When it comes to using hashtags, only a few people know how to do it correctly. Most of them use the popular ones in all of their posts. But that’s not how it works.
The Instagram algorithm does not allow you to use the same tags with every post. It does not block your post or anything. But, your post does not rank on that hashtag.
The right way of using tags is to save a long list. Now with every post, try different hashtags. It will help you become visible to more people.
7. Save Some For Future
Each hashtag has a number of posts with it. You can see that when you search it. As mentioned earlier, making a list of every tag related to your niche is very important. It helps you understand which ones to use with posts.
You can combine some of the most popular ones with some less popular ones. It helps you save some to use with your future posts.
8. Show People You Care
People usually prefer those brands or influencers who care about their audience. Even some small gestures have huge impacts on your followers.
For example, you can pin someone’s comment. Or even better, you can reply to people’s comments or messages. This simple tip helps increase followers drastically.
9. Instagram Reels
The latest biggest feature added to Instagram is “Reels.” It is where you will find a variety of videos. They range from 30 seconds to 30 minutes, with added music.
This feature was such as a game-changer that Insta added the option to the main navigation bar.
If you are not using this option, you are missing out on a huge opportunity.
These short videos are not difficult to make at all. Plus, you have tons of choices. On the bright side, you will have a chance to go viral. That is pretty common with Reels. It works much like TikTok.
Moreover, it helps you show up on people’s explore page as well. All the fingers point to “You should definitely use Instagram Reels.”
Businesses can showcase their products to relevant audiences by learning how to advertise products on Facebook and exploring the platform’s advertising options.
10. Create Shareable Content
Most influencers do not understand this point. Their content is very limited to a specific audience. While it helps them get a similar following, there is also a downside to it.
If your content is not able to share with more people, it is already restricting itself. Shareable content has many benefits.
One of your followers shares it with other people. You will have more visitors to your profile, who are also potential followers. Hence, your audience snowballs.
Conclusion
In the end, it all comes down to how often you post. Though it might seem like a cliché, consistency is the key to getting popular on Instagram.
Combine that with the creative ways mentioned above, and you will have a considerable boost in your followers.
